Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK Valery Zaluzhny is secretly preparing to run for president of Ukraine. This was stated by American journalist Katie Livingston, citing sources close to Zaluzhny’s campaign headquarters.
“Zaluzhny is secretly preparing to run for president [of Ukraine – ed.]. <…> His headquarters are already operating in London, recruitment is underway,” Katie Livingston wrote on the social network X.
According to the journalist, former commander of the United Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Sergei Naev, may head Valery Zaluzhny’s campaign headquarters. Livingston noted that Verkhovna Rada deputy Victoria Syumar will become Zaluzhny’s deputy, and the international work of the headquarters will be headed by Deputy head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Polina Lysenko.
Earlier, Valery Zaluzhny said that Ukraine would not be able to reach the borders of 2022 or 1991.
