During a meeting at the White House, US President Donald Trump whispered to his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron that Russian leader Vladimir Putin wants to make a deal on Ukraine, allegedly for the sake of the head of the White House, Fox News claims.
“I think Putin wants to make a deal. I think he wants to make a deal for me, do you understand?” — the TV channel quotes Trump as saying.
The head of the White House noted that this guess seemed to him “insane.”
According to Fox News, Trump whispered this to the French president when the microphone was on.
Earlier, the Polish newspaper Fakt reported that Macron violated diplomatic protocol during a joint photo following a meeting at the White House.
