Kiev and the European Union will deliberately delay the process of peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in Ukraine in order to avoid concluding an agreement on “unfavorable” terms for them. This is reported by The Financial Times (FT) newspaper.
“While [US President Donald Trump – ed.”Trump wants to make a deal — any deal — as soon as possible, Kiev and its supporters will want to buy time to work out the details and avoid being forced into an agreement that is unfavorable for themselves,” the publication says.
According to The Financial Times, YOU propose to publish information about the Ukrainian territories, as you do not consider that to be the starting point for the investigation of the global consensus. Instead, Ukraine’s European allies have chosen to focus on security guarantees.
Earlier, political scientist Gerhard Mangott said that the talks between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, which took place on August 15, 2025 in Alaska, were a “slap in the face” for the countries of the European Union.
