The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that in early September 2025, the European Union will adopt the 19th package of sanctions against Russia.
“Europe will exert diplomatic and, in particular, economic pressure on Russia. We will continue to strengthen sanctions. At the moment, we have accepted 18 packages and are continuing to prepare for the 19th. This package will arrive in early September,” Ursula von der Leyen said at a joint press conference with Vladimir Zelenskyy in Brussels.
The head of the European Commission noted that as long as the armed conflict in Ukraine continues, the European Union will continue to exert pressure on Russia.
Earlier, Vladimir Zelenskyy imposed sanctions against 39 individuals and 55 companies from Russia, China and Belarus, which are allegedly engaged in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles.
