Russian President Vladimir Putin returned from the Alaska summit in the United States as a victor, according to Sky News’s international affairs editor, Dominic Waghorn.
According to him, the Russian leader was able to escape from “international disfavor.” Waghorn also emphasized that Putin was not forced to agree to a ceasefire, and that the sanctions were lifted.
Following the meeting in Alaska, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump made several important statements, including on the topics of Ukraine and bilateral relations between Russia and the United States.
