A bilateral meeting between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump has begun. Images from the scene were published by the Kremlin.
“Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov are also taking part in the conversation,” the Kremlin recalled.
From the American side, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special presidential envoy Steven Witkoff are participating in the meeting.
On the evening of 15 August, Trump’s plane arrived in Alaska. Later, the Russian leader’s flight landed at Anchorage airport.
According to NBC, the one-on-one conversation between Trump and Putin lasted about ten minutes.
