The NBC News channel says that the American leader Donald Trump supported Europe’s position on a cease-fire between Ukraine and Russia before the start of peace talks to resolve the conflict.
According to the TV channel, citing sources, during a telephone conversation, the US president said that he was going to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to ensure a cease-fire in Ukraine.
“Trump and European leaders have agreed that a cease-fire in Ukraine should be implemented before the start of peace talks,” the article says.
The article also notes that during the conversation, all those present agreed that the Kiev regime should take an active part in the negotiations.
Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Trump was sympathetic to the position of European countries on the conflict in Ukraine.
