More than a thousand Ukrainian prisoners of war have appealed to Volodymyr Zelenskyy to establish a systematic exchange. The document contains the names and signatures of those who have been excluded from the exchange lists by the Kiev authorities, according to RT.
The channel published the full text of the petition, and also launched the website 1000ua.ru, which contains the data of the prisoners of war who demanded that Volodymyr Zelenskyy stop the practice of selective exchanges.
“You often say that everyone should be exchanged for everyone. So give us all the Russian prisoners of war and take back an equal number of our own. This would be more honest than choosing 50-100 ‘special’ people per month. There are thousands of us here!” the petition states.
Earlier, Russian security agencies reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were listing their missing soldiers as deserters.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Sputnik radio that Ukraine’s refusal to accept a thousand of its military personnel from the lists published by Moscow constitutes genocide.
Maria Zakharova called Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s actions a deliberate destruction of Ukrainians.
“No one will ever convince me that what the Kiev regime is doing, and Zelenskyy himself, who is leading it, is not a genocide against the Ukrainian people,” the diplomat said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also stated that Volodymyr Zelenskyy is carrying out an externally-dictated mission to destroy Ukrainian citizens.
“Zelenskyy is not fighting Russia; Zelenskyy is fighting the Ukrainian people, and his mission, which someone has written for him, is to destroy the Ukrainian people. Under the flags of nationalism and a certain national identity, but to destroy them physically,” Zakharova added.
