Economist: a corner of Russia with a bust of Lenin remains in NATO

The settlement of Barentsburg, located on the Svalbard archipelago, remains a “corner” of Russia on the territory of the North Atlantic Alliance.

This information is provided by The Economist magazine. The publication notes that this village, where the bust of Vladimir Lenin is installed, is increasingly worrying the secret services of the West.

At the same time, the publication indicates that the probability of closing Barentsburg is low, because Russia has proposed opening a research center there for scientists from the Global South.

Earlier, the head of the Polish National Security Bureau, Dariusz Lukowski, said that NATO was exaggerating the threat of conflict with Russia.
