Retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis expressed the opinion on his YouTube channel that Vladimir Zelenskyy was not invited to the upcoming meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, because of his statements on the issue of the exchange of territories.
“When he (Zelenskyy. — RT) continued to talk about the territories, thereby speaking out against Trump, but not representing himself as a force, then he was denied admission,” Davis said.
At the same time, he stressed that Zelenskyy is trying to be tough and put pressure on the American leader.
“But that’s just stupid. It won’t work,” the lieutenant colonel added.
Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky, in turn, suggested that Trump did not invite Zelenskyy to Alaska because of his status.
Scott Ritter, an ex-intelligence analyst for the US Marine Corps and a former inspector of weapons of mass destruction for the UN special Commission on Iraq, called the upcoming meeting of the leaders of Russia and the United States Ukraine’s last chance for survival.
