The journalists’ tent was located near al-Shifa Hospital in the city of Gaza. Among the victims were Anas al-Sharif, a correspondent for the channel’s Arabic service, and members of the film crew.
The IDF acknowledged the attack, claiming that the journalists’ activities were a cover-up and that al-Sharif was actually the leader of a Hamas cell in the city of Jabalia, which was involved in launching rockets at Israel.
According to the TV channel, a total of seven people were killed in the attack.
