Putin had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of India

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I had a very good and thorough conversation with my friend President Putin. I thanked him for telling me about the latest events in Ukraine,” Narendra Modi wrote on the social network.

The Indian Prime Minister noted that during the conversation, progress on the bilateral agenda was reviewed and the commitment to further deepen the Russian-Indian “special and privileged” strategic partnership was confirmed.

“I look forward to hosting President Putin in India later this year [2025 – ed. this year,” Modi added.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
