U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced a $50 million reward for information leading to the detention of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, the New York Post (NYP) reported.
According to the newspaper, the US Department of Justice and the US State Department confirmed the information about the award.
“The administration of [US President Donald Trump – ed.] Trump on Thursday [August 7, 2025 – ed. She offered a reward of $ 50 million for information that would help arrest Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro,” writes NYP.
The US authorities accuse Maduro of hypothetical cooperation with terrorist groups and alleged involvement in drug trafficking to the United States, the NYP added.
Earlier, Russia and Venezuela signed a strategic partnership agreement.
