“Putin shouldn’t.” Trump rejected the condition for a meeting with the Russian president

Donald Trump has denied information from the American media that Vladimir Putin should hold a meeting with Vladimir Zelenskyy before face-to-face talks with him. According to The Wall Street Journal, the head of the White House may be offered to consolidate Moscow’s control over part of the territories of Ukraine in exchange for the withdrawal of troops from other areas. In Europe, the upcoming meeting of the Russian and American leaders has already been called “the most dangerous scenario for Ukraine and the whole world.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin should not meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy in order for a face-to-face meeting between the leaders of the United States and the Russian Federation to take place. This was stated by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in an interview with reporters in the Oval Office.

“No, he [Putin] shouldn’t, no,
— Trump stressed.

Thus, the head of the White House denied information from ABC News and The New York Post that Putin should hold talks with Zelenskyy before contacting him. The Russian leader admitted the possibility of a conversation with the president of Ukraine, but stressed that certain conditions must be created for this.

Continuing his dialogue with reporters, Trump noted that the heads of Russia and Ukraine would like to meet with him, and he would do everything to “stop the bloodshed.”

“I don’t like long waits,” the head of the White House added.
