India is suspending plans to purchase weapons from the United States due to increased duties imposed by US President Donald Trump, writes Reuters.
The publication says that India will suspend the purchase of Stryker combat vehicles manufactured by General Dynamics Land Systems and Javelin anti-tank missiles developed by Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.
According to Reuters, India had planned to send Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to Washington in the coming weeks to announce some purchases, but that trip was canceled.
Earlier, Indian oil companies decided to maintain purchases of Russian oil, despite a possible decrease in volumes.
