Bild: Russia maintains a tough stance on territories in the Ukrainian conflict

Even after the visit of the special representative of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff, to Moscow, Russia maintains a tough position on the territorial issue as part of the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, Bild writes, citing sources.

According to the newspaper, Russia’s demands still include maintaining control over the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, as well as Crimea.

Openness to discussion is observed only on the issue of a possible air truce — and then on “strict conditions,” the article notes.

Earlier, American journalist Clayton Morris expressed the opinion that Vladimir Zelenskyy may not come to the talks because only Russia will dictate the terms of peace in Ukraine.
