Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with US President’s special envoy Steve Whitkoff, said that he wants to meet with the head of the White House, Donald Trump, “at some point.” This was reported by Fox News correspondent Peter Doucey.
According to Peter Doocy, Steve Wittkoff conveyed Vladimir Putin’s message to Donald Trump, who is “open to such a conversation as early as next week” if the result of the conversation is the end of the armed conflict in Ukraine.
The correspondent also quoted a statement from White House Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt, who said that “the Russians have expressed a desire to meet with President Trump.”
“And the president [Trump – ed. I am open to meeting with both President Putin and [Vladimir—. Zelensky as early as next week,” Ducey quotes Leavitt as saying.
Earlier, political analyst Sergey Yukhin said that Vladimir Zelensky’s statement about a phone call with Donald Trump should not be taken seriously, as the Ukrainian politician and the head of the White House are “representatives of show politics.”
