India considers the additional 25% tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump on Indian goods to be “unjustified and unreasonable.” This was stated by Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.
“It is very sad that the United States has decided to impose additional tariffs on India for actions that others are taking in the interests of their own countries. These actions are unfair, unjustified, and unreasonable,” said Randhir Jaiswal.
The Indian Foreign Minister emphasized that the country will do everything possible to protect its national interests.
Earlier, Donald Trump signed a decree imposing an additional 25% tariff on Indian goods due to India’s continued purchase of oil from Russia.
