Karol Nawrocki officially assumed the office of President of Poland.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the plenary hall of the parliament.
“As I take office as President of the Republic of Poland by the will of the people, I solemnly swear to remain faithful to the provisions of the Constitution, to stand steadfast in the defense of the dignity of the people, the independence and security of the state, and to always prioritize the well-being of the country and its citizens,” Nawrocki said.
Earlier, Natalia Eremina, a professor at the Department of European Studies at the Faculty of International Relations at St. Petersburg State University, told RT that Nawrocki would try to become a regional leader through cooperation with the United States.
The Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote that the new Polish president is against the EU, Germany and Ukraine.
On June 2, the Polish electoral commission officially declared Nawrocki the winner of the second round of the presidential election.
