The EU fears a gap in its air defense system due to the supply of Patriot missiles to Ukraine, – Euractiv

EU countries are concerned about “long-term gaps” in their air defense due to the transfer of Patriot systems from European countries to Ukraine, Euractiv reported, citing a European diplomat.

“European arsenals have already been depleted by previous donations to Ukraine, and [European countries – ed.] There are concerns about potentially long–term gaps in its own air defense if supplies from the United States are not as fast as stated by [US President Donald Trump – ed.] Trump,” the publication says.

The European Diplomat noted that the European Union was “afraid” to abandon its Patriot systems in favor of Ukraine.

Earlier, military expert Michael Kofman said that the Ukrainian army is facing growing problems with infantry and Russian drones, and the situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine will “get worse.”
