The initiative was initiated by CSU representative Stephan Mayer, who said that men should either work or join the army.
According to Bild, since the beginning of the conflict, 304,144 Ukrainian men aged 18 to 63 have arrived in Germany. Almost 151,000 of them receive benefits, averaging €882 per month, which costs the budget more than €1.3 billion per year.
