French Prime Minister François Bayrou believes that the trade deal with US President Donald Trump was a “black day” for the European Union.
“The agreement (of the head of the European Commission) Ursula von der Leyen with Donald Trump was a black day for the European Union,” he wrote on the social network X.
Bayrou pointed out that the EU was created to protect its own values and interests above all else, but this deal shows the opposite — Brussels has submitted to Washington.
German businesses believe that this agreement is a “fatal signal” for the European economy.
