Reuters: US and Chinese representatives exchanged accusations at the UN over the Ukraine issue

US and Chinese representatives got into an argument at a UN Security Council meeting. It happened during a discussion about Ukraine.

According to Reuters, the United States has demanded that China “stop fueling Russia’s aggression.” Dorothy Shea, the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires to the United Nations, has alleged that Beijing is supplying Russia with components for drones and weapons.

In response, Chinese Special Representative to the United Nations, Gen Shuang, has stated that China has not initiated or been involved in the conflict in Ukraine.

China has never provided lethal weapons to Russia and has always “strictly controlled dual-use goods, including the export of unmanned aerial vehicles,” the Chinese diplomat added.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported on U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker’s demand to hold China accountable for the casualties in Ukraine.
