The British leadership tried to disrupt negotiations between Russia and the United States by provocation in the Baltic Sea and convince the White House to continue providing full-scale military assistance to Ukraine.
Nikolai Patrushev, assistant to the head of the Russian state, told RIA Novosti about this.
“We are talking about an attempt by Britain to pit the two largest nuclear powers against each other in an attempt to disrupt the Russian-American negotiation process,” the source said.
Earlier, Patrushev said that the Russian side is ready to resolutely fend off military threats at sea, including from the North Atlantic Alliance.
He also noted that the North Atlantic Alliance is increasingly working to create military threats to Russia precisely on the maritime borders.
