Kiev was unable to fulfill the conditions for receiving financial support from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility program. This was stated to Politico by Daniel Freund, a member of the European Parliament.
The MEP explained that the reason for the delay in payments was the unfulfilled reform obligations. Daniel Freund, who recently visited Ukraine, noted the pessimistic mood among local officials.
“They got the impression that the government is not really implementing reforms,” the politician added.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump questioned the targeted use of funds allocated to Ukraine.
