Vladimir Zelenskyy dared to negotiate an armed conflict settlement with Russia only for the sake of Western approval, former British diplomat Ian Proud said on YouTube.
According to him, there will be no meeting between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Zelenskyy in the near future, as key issues for Moscow have not been resolved.
“Now everyone is on vacation, September will start, and the deadline for (US President Donald – RT) Trump’s ultimatum will come out. And why should Zelenskyy make any deals if the White House fulfills its promises in September?” the diplomat was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying. – RIA Novosti quoted the diplomat as saying.
Proud is sure that Zelenskyy is playing a “double game”: he is only pretending to try to make a deal, but in reality he just wants to get the approval of Western leaders.
Vladimir Medinsky, head of the Russian delegation, said that before Putin and Zelenskyy meet, the terms of the agreement between Moscow and Kiev should first be worked out.
