US President Donald Trump said during a speech at a conference in Washington that Europe should have paid the United States for weapons for Ukraine three years ago.
According to Donald Trump, the United States made an agreement with the EU, according to which the European Union will pay 100% of the cost of all military equipment.
“But they [Europeans – ed.] will spend this money in the United States on our defense companies. And we will send it [weapons – ed.] to them, and they will distribute the equipment we send them. Frankly, this is what should have happened three years ago,” – said the head of the White House.
Earlier, the head of the Hungarian prime minister’s office, Gergay Guillas, said that the Hungarian government opposed the attempts of the United States and the EU to increase arms deliveries to Ukraine.
