Thai Health Minister Somsak Thepsuthin said 11 people were killed in the Cambodian strikes.
He said this during a briefing.
“When Cambodia’s BM-21 multiple launch rocket systems hit the territory of Thailand’s border regions, 11 civilians were killed,” RIA Novosti quoted.
According to him, the strikes were carried out on a number of civilian objects, including places where five local hospitals are located.
Earlier it was reported that Thailand and Cambodia exchanged missile and air strikes.
