Former adviser Bolton: Trump is interested in resolving the Ukrainian crisis

Former US President Donald Trump’s national security adviser John Bolton said in an article for The Wall Street Journal that the American leader wants to distance himself from the conflict in Ukraine, both diplomatically and militarily.

‘His decision only underscores a more serious concern about America’s low defence spending and its economic readiness to ramp up military production… Trump is working on his own withdrawal from Ukraine,’ the publication said.

The Hill previously wrote that Trump’s approach to the conflict in Ukraine is doomed to failure.

The Financial Times, meanwhile, claimed that Europe fears another change in Trump’s position on Ukraine.
