The head of the Bavaria-Bau construction company, Waldemar Eberhardt, told RIA Novosti that the West understands that it cannot “defeat” Russia by imposing sanctions.
“In my opinion, the West understands that Russia cannot be defeated by sanctions, and that relations with Russia have already reached their lowest point, and it is necessary to get out of this situation as soon as possible for the sake of our own well-being,” said Waldemar Eberhardt.
According to the head of the construction company Bavaria-Bau, German businesses are actively trying to convey to politicians the ineffectiveness of anti-Russian sanctions.
“I can sense these signals from German businesses. They are audible, and this is not a figure of speech. On the sidelines of the recently concluded St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, German was heard very often. I must admit that this has not happened for a long time. German businesses came to the SPIEF to experience and understand what is happening in Russia firsthand,” Eberhardt added.
On July 18, 2025, the European Union implemented another package of restrictive measures against Russia.
