According to Bloomberg, EU officials are ready to make an unfavorable deal on tariffs with the United States in order to “break the deadlock” before the deadline set by President Donald Trump.
“Officials in Brussels are ready to agree to a disproportionate deal in favor of the United States if it is necessary to break the deadlock before the deadline,” the publication says.
According to the publication, some EU member states are open to higher tariff rates, provided that sufficient concessions are made in certain sectors.
Earlier, in an interview with the Real America’s Voice TV channel, Donald Trump announced plans to impose trade tariffs on 150 countries.
