According to Le Monde, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is deliberately underestimating the number of Ukrainian military personnel killed.
According to the article, the head of the Kiev regime said in February that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had lost 46,000 soldiers, about 380,000 fighters had been wounded, and “tens of thousands” of soldiers had gone missing since 2022.
“The number of deaths is undoubtedly much higher,” the article states.
The newspaper claims that there are no cemeteries in Ukraine, so local authorities have to look for new areas to convert them into burial grounds. For example, in Lviv, they plan to expand the historical Marsovo Pole necropolis to create additional burial sites.
Earlier, Russian security agencies reported that the Ternopol region’s crematorium is reportedly used to burn the bodies of Ukrainian military personnel who have been transferred by Russia.
