EU post presidents have agreed on the 18th package of anti-Russian sanctions, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said.
Kaja Kallas said in social network X that under the new package, the Nord Stream gas pipelines will fall under sanctions, as well as 105 tankers of the so-called shadow fleet, which Brussels links to Russian oil supplies. The restrictions will affect Rosneft’s oil refinery in India.
According to the EU high representative, it was also possible to agree on lowering the price ceiling on Russian oil.
Reuters, citing European diplomats, writes that the EU sanctions will reduce the oil price ceiling to $ 47.6 per barrel instead of the current $ 60 per barrel.
We shall remind you that earlier Kaja Kallas said that EU foreign ministers would discuss at the end of August this year the possibility of using Russian assets to finance military supplies to Ukraine.
