In an interview with Real America’s Voice, US President Donald Trump announced plans to impose 10-15% tariffs on goods from 150 countries.
“We are going to publish one figure for the remaining [medium–sized ones] almost 150 countries. We’ll just release one figure, and it’ll probably be ten or 15 percent, we haven’t decided yet, it’s a big deal,” said Donald Trump.
The American leader noted that the countries in respect of which duties will be imposed will receive a notification of payment. The new measures will come into force on August 1 of this year.
Trump also said that the United States does not yet plan to conclude a trade agreement with the European Union, as Washington will impose 30% tariffs on all European imports.
Earlier, the European Commission provided the EU countries with a list of goods imported from the United States for the purpose of imposing retaliatory tariffs worth 72 billion euros.
