A number of European Union member states learned about their participation in US President Donald Trump’s plan to supply weapons to Ukraine through Europe only after the White House issued a statement.
This information was provided by Reuters, citing unnamed sources. According to one of these sources, they had a clear sense that no one had been informed about the exact details beforehand.
“And I also suspect that the administration is only now beginning to understand what this means in practice,” he added.
Other sources told the agency that they learned about the plan immediately after it was announced. According to them, even U.S. allies learned about the plan “in real time.”
