The administration of American leader Donald Trump last week called on Congress to refrain from considering Senator Lindsey Graham’s bill to impose new sanctions against Russia. This was reported by Time magazine, citing sources.
According to journalists, last week the White House urged lawmakers to refrain from implementing the senator’s initiative, as Trump himself is not interested in this.
“Trump doesn’t want this,” the source told the magazine.
Earlier, Graham said that the bill on new anti-Russian sanctions would be Trump’s sledgehammer to hit the Russian economy.
However, the US president noted the day before that he was not sure about the need for a bill on restrictions against Russia.
