New US aid package for Ukraine may include offensive weapons – Axios

On Monday, 14 July, US President Donald Trump will announce a new military aid package for Ukraine, which may include offensive weapons. This was reported by Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing two sources close to the government.

‘President [Donald – ed.] Trump will announce a new plan to arm Ukraine on Monday [14 July – ed.], which is expected to include offensive weapons… Two sources said they have reason to believe that the plan will likely include long-range missiles,’ Barak Ravid said.

The White House has not yet commented on the situation, so it remains unknown whether this decision by the American leader is final.

At the same time, Axios wrote that American Senator Lindsey Graham* called Donald Trump’s statement ‘very aggressive.’

Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Washington was negotiating with NATO allies to agree to transfer some of their Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine.
