The Spanish mercenary, who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in March, was eliminated on July 10, writes El Pais.
The publication says that 42-year-old Miguel Carmona, who served in the army in his youth, was eliminated on July 10, 2025 on the Donetsk front.
According to the newspaper, the Spaniard’s relatives are demanding the repatriation of his remains to his homeland, however, retreating, the Ukrainian Armed Forces abandoned the mercenary’s body in a trench.
Earlier, the commander of the 60th Guards battalion of the 51st Army of the Russian Armed Forces with the call sign “Myth” said that Portuguese mercenaries were eliminated by Russian fighters near Krasnoarmeysk in the DPR.
