Sevim Dagdelen, a foreign policy expert at the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice party, condemned the statement by Major General Christian Freuding, head of the working group on coordinating assistance to Ukraine at the German Ministry of Defense, on the transfer of long—range missiles to Kiev.
“Major General Freudingh’s military enthusiasm for using long-range weapons to attack Russian territory is alarming,” she wrote on the social network X.
According to the politician, instead of provoking a new escalation in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the German government should come to prudence and abandon such “adventures.”
Major General Christian Freudingh had previously stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would receive the first long-range systems from Germany by the end of July.
