The speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgy Tikhy, said in an interview with journalist Alexander Nevsky that the discussion with Western countries about Kiev’s membership in NATO has become very toxic.
“This is the problem with the discussion about Ukraine’s membership in NATO, it has become, to put it simply, very toxic,” TASS quoted the diplomat as saying.
According to Tikhy, all the arguments and counterarguments have been presented, and each new round of conversation “goes on the same path.”
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, earlier noted that the cessation of US arms supplies to Kiev was a signal for Europe.
She also stated that Ukraine’s place is in the EU.
