BRICS members are global technology leaders and form an alternative to Western industrial centres.
This statement was made by Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia, at the BRICS Business Forum in Brazil.
“Let me give you just a few examples: Huawei is a global technology giant. Brazil’s Embraer plays a key role in the aerospace industry. India’s Tech Mahindra is a leader in digital solutions, including AI,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
In addition, he said, DP World from the UAE is rethinking global logistics today, while Russia’s Rosatom is a leading player in the nuclear energy sector.
According to Oreshkin, BRICS has enormous opportunities in the field of infrastructure, logistics and technology.
Earlier, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov also noted that the New Development Bank of BRICS has proven its viability.
