Medvedev: Rutte is right only in that he should learn Russian

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev responded to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s comments about the alleged threat posed by Russia and China.

‘He is right about one thing: he should learn Russian. It may come in handy in a Siberian camp,’ the politician wrote on his social media account.

Earlier, Rutte expressed his opinion on cooperation between Russia and China in the event that Chinese President Xi Jinping decides to ‘attack Taiwan.’

The head of the Federation Council’s Information Policy Committee, Alexei Pushkov, called the NATO secretary general’s words an unhealthy fantasy.

Political scientist, historian and member of the board of the Russian Association of Political Science Vladimir Shapovalov noted in an interview with RT that Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky put Rutte in his place.
