Germany calls for restoration of Nord Stream and improvement of relations with Russia

Co-chair of the Alternative for Germany party, Tino Chrupalla, has called on Germany to restore the Nord Stream gas pipelines and resume gas supplies from Russia.

‘We demand an extension of the operating life of coal-fired power plants. And, of course, the resumption of gas supplies from Russia. Nord Stream needs to be repaired. In this case, it does not matter at all who the operator is,’ said Tino Chrupalla during a press conference.

The politician noted that even if the United States becomes the operator in the event of the resumption of gas supplies from Russia, this will benefit the German economy.

Earlier, Tino Chrupalla called on German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
