‘I made a mistake by saying, “Donald, let’s shake hands” — and he didn’t shake my hand,’ Merkel recalls.
The German politician believes that Trump was trying to draw attention to himself. Attracting universal attention is ‘what he wants,’ she emphasised. Merkel added that Trump shook her hand later.
