US President Donald Trump has stated that his administration is closely monitoring the situation in the Sumy region.
“We’ll see what happens, and we’re keeping a close eye on the situation,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, the Ukrainian General Staff for the first time acknowledged the loss of control over part of the Sumy region, as evidenced by a map published on the department’s social media page.
In Yunakovka, Sumy region, a company of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters was destroyed.
TASS reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had deployed dozens of units, including elite units, to the Sumy region.
