Israel accepts Trump’s initiative for a bilateral ceasefire with Iran

Israel has accepted US President Donald Trump’s initiative for a bilateral ceasefire with Iran, according to a statement by Dmitry Gendelman, an adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.

‘In connection with the achievement of the strategic objectives of the operation, and in full agreement with President Trump, Israel has accepted his initiative for a bilateral ceasefire,’ he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Israeli government expressed its gratitude to the United States and Trump personally for their support and participation in ‘eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat.’

It also assured that it would respond decisively to any violation of the ceasefire by Iran.

At the same time, Israeli citizens should continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command until full confirmation of compliance with the ceasefire, Netanyahu’s office added.

Earlier, Israel announced that it had achieved all the objectives of its military operation against Iran.

On the morning of 24 June, US President Donald Trump announced the entry into force of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel.
