Britain to increase defence spending to 5% of GDP by 2035

The United Kingdom will increase its national defence spending to 5% of GDP by 2035, according to a press release from the office of Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

‘The decision was made as Prime Minister Keir Starmer prepared to join NATO leaders at a summit discussing global conflicts and expectations for “European military independence,”’ The Guardian reports.

Russian Ambassador to London Andrei Kelin previously stated in an interview with TASS that the UK’s arsenals are practically depleted, as the country has already supplied Ukraine with virtually all the weapons it had over the past 3.5 years.
