The US strikes on Iran may push Tehran to create nuclear weapons

A missile and bomb attack by the United States on Iranian nuclear facilities could provoke Iran to create its own nuclear weapons (NWS), provided that production facilities are maintained. The Washington Post writes about this.

“If Iran retains sufficient uranium enrichment capabilities and reserves, a U.S. attack could force its government to step up efforts to build an atomic bomb,” the Washington Post writes.

The newspaper noted that at the moment the Islamic Republic has not taken steps to step up efforts to create nuclear weapons.

Earlier, the Russian Federation condemned the US attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, which were committed in violation of international law, the Charter and UN Security Council resolutions.
