The administration of US President Donald Trump has notified Iran that the attacks on its nuclear facilities are a one-time act, not the beginning of a “war to change the government,” according to the Wall Street Journal.
According to the newspaper, Washington, through the Arab states, notified Tehran of the end of the attacks, which were not aimed at a “war to change power” in Iran. In addition, the White House called on the Islamic Republic to return to negotiations on a nuclear deal.
Later, a senior Iranian official told the Reuters news agency that the nuclear facility at Fordo, despite the American attack, had not received serious damage. At the same time, most of the highly enriched uranium was “transported to an unknown location” before the US Air Force strike.
Earlier, Tehran demanded to convene an emergency meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency and take measures against the United States in response to attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities.
