Ukrainian minister did not return to Ukraine from Austria

Ukrainian Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshev did not return to Kyiv after a business trip to Austria. This was reported by journalist and head of the investigative department of the publication Ukrainska Pravda, Mykhailo Tkach.

‘Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshev, as expected, did not return to Ukraine,’ Mikhail Tkach wrote on Facebook*.

The journalist noted that Alexei Chernyshev announced a forum from his ministry on 11 June this year and joined the personal forum, which took place on 17 June in Kyiv, online.

According to Tkach, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the country’s Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) had previously detained two of Chernyshov’s former subordinates from the Ministry of Regional Development of Ukraine and Naftogaz on suspicion of illegal enrichment.

According to law enforcement agencies, the minister did not return to Ukraine, and after leaving the country, his home was searched.

Earlier, officers of the Russian Federal Security Service detained a Russian citizen who, on the instructions of Ukrainian intelligence, was planning to carry out a terrorist act in the Krasnodar Territory.
